                Basic properties of life

class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

1. Respond to stimuli

The power to respond to stimulus is known as irritability. It may take place due to the change of both external and internal environment. For example, the leaflets of Mimosa pudica (sensitive plant) close up in pairs and droop down when touched.

2. Growth

Young organisms grow in size and attain maturity. When the rate of anabolism exceeds the rate of catabolisms new organic substances are added to the protoplasm as a result the living cell increases in size and the organism grows.

3. Metabolism

In the protoplasm of a living cell many of the chemical reactions are always taking place. The changes that occur due to these reactions are required for the 1.1.1 Concept about Orig maintenance of body functions. The sum total of all these biochemical reactions taking place within a living cell is called metabolism.

4. Respiration

Respiration is an energy releasing biochemical process. Complex by experimental evidence performed organic food substances are oxidized with the liberation of energy, carbon dioxide and water. Potential energy stored within the food meterials is converted into kinetic form. This include chemical evolution and biol energy is utilized for different metabolic processes occurring in the body. Some amount of energy is stored within ATP molecules. Respiration is a continuous process which occurs throughout the life period of all living cells.

5. Energy utilization

Living beings continuously require energy to perform various essential for the formation of protoplasm. Hi activities of the body. Energy is obtained from food materials which is either manufactured formation amongst themselves. With gradual by the cells or acquired from outside

A few words on three sedimentary rock: limestone, sandstone,shale by research studys

What is limestone ? Limestone : It is a calcareous sedimentary rock. Limestone or Calcium Carbonate is generally not soluble in water. But it gets readily dissolved in rainwater or acid solutions when it is transformed to Calcium Bicarbonate, which is not resistant to erosion and highly permeable. Surface water sinks underground through holes on the surface of the earth carved by solution actions of rainwater in Limestone regions. Limestone may be white, grey, green or blackish in colour. It is used as a raw material in making cement and in the iron and steel industry.  What is sandstone? Sandstone : It is a sedimentary rock rich in sand. It is resistant to erosion in spite of being highly porous and permeable. Architects use it in making epitaphs and monuments. It is yellow, orange, red, pink, white or grey in colour. Soil in regions dominated by Sandstone is saline and infertile. Many architectural wonders in India, like the Red Fort, the temples in Udaygiri-Khandagiri and K

What Is Classfication of waste (1) Solid waste, (2) Liquid waste, (3) Gaseous waste, (4) Toxic waste, (5) Non-Toxic waste:-

Classfication of waste: Depending upon the physical states, there are five types of wastes (1) Solid waste, (2) Liquid waste, (3) Gaseous waste, (4) Toxic waste, (5) Non-Toxic waste:-  (1) Solid waste: It is the solid portions of the discarded materials. It includes mainly domestic or household wastes like,kitchen waste with leftover cooked food, plastic, empty bottles, cans, broken glasses, discarded tyres,tubes, building rubbish, fly ash, carbon dust including various industrial wastes. (2) Liquid waste: Fluids as waste water, fats, oils or grease (FOG), used oil, excess manure,       hazardous household liquids, sewage effluents etc., are categorized as liquid wastes. (3) Gaseous waste: It includes uncontained airborne emissions and effluents, that may consist of particulate matter,dust, fumes, gas, mist, smoke, vapour or any combination. Examples of gaseous waste are particulate dust, gas flaring, lime dust, cigarette fumes, asbestos dust, waste gases and acid fumes.  (4) Toxic wa

what is concept of waste? waste management by research studys

  concept of waste   what is concept of waste ? waste is an undesired or unwanted substance which is of no use .It is a substancewhich is discarded after primary use or it is worthess, or defective term waste is often subjective because wate to one person is not necessarily a waste to another. waste  is also referred to as rubbish, trash or garbage which is the useless or worthless material stuff to be trown away. an idea for generation of local waste or waste from your locality would be useful for your general awareness. local wastes include mainly municipal waste generated by :-
