A few words on three sedimentary rock: limestone, sandstone, shale by research studys

What is limestone ? Limestone : It is a calcareous sedimentary rock. Limestone or Calcium Carbonate is generally not soluble in water. But it gets readily dissolved in rainwater or acid solutions when it is transformed to Calcium Bicarbonate, which is not resistant to erosion and highly permeable. Surface water sinks underground through holes on the surface of the earth carved by solution actions of rainwater in Limestone regions. Limestone may be white, grey, green or blackish in colour. It is used as a raw material in making cement and in the iron and steel industry.  What is sandstone? Sandstone : It is a sedimentary rock rich in sand. It is resistant to erosion in spite of being highly porous and permeable. Architects use it in making epitaphs and monuments. It is yellow, orange, red, pink, white or grey in colour. Soil in regions dominated by Sandstone is saline and infertile. Many architectural wonders in India, like the Red Fort, the temples in Udaygiri-Khandagiri and K

What is geothermal energy? by research studys

What is geothermal energy? Answer: It is a type of energy. The temperature of the earth's core waves outward. This thermal power is known as geothermal energy. Many countries of the world produce electricity from this thermal power. Iceland meets upto 30% of the total energy requirement from geothermal energy. The U.S.A produces highest amount of electricity in the world from geothermal energy. Electricity production from geothermal energy reduces the use of fossil fuel (coal, petroleum).

An account to igneous rocks Granite: continental crust, Basalt:ocenic crust by research studys

An account to igneous rocks Granite: Continental crust is mainly formed of this Ba rock. It is composed of quartz, feldspar, mica and ro homblende and the colour of this rock varies from white, grey to pink. This is an impermeable rock. Granite is m very much resistant to erosion as it is heavy and very hard. Granite is coarse granied as the magma is cooled and solidified very slowly in the earths interior (diameter >3 mm). Landforms developed on the regions of granite rock are generally rounded and domal.

What is the rock cycle?

What is the Rock cycle?   Answer: Magma from there underneath atmosphere Can erupt through a weak part of the earth crust. Gradually they cool down to from the igneous rock. The igneous rock eroded 1 by different agents like-river wind glacier, and carried by these agents to the sea, these eroded material deposit layer by layer in the sea and form sedimentary rocks. When igneous and sedimentary rocks, come under huge temperature and pressure, Chemical reaction, they transform into Metamorphic rock when the earth movement occurs, these rocks. are brought inside the earth. Due to heat there melt. to form magma Magma again. to From, the igneous rock again. come outside thus starting From the igneous rock again back to it is called rock cycle

How to make your own volcano plastic tapes, newspaper by research studys

How to make your own volcano - Take one cardboard, a long thin can, plastic tapes, newspaper, gum, sand or ash, coloured paper, a little amount of vinegar and soda water. Stick the can to the middle of the card board with the help of tape. Make a cone by pasting that newspaper on all sides of the can. Then cover the outside of the volcano with aluminium foil or coloured paper. You may spread sand/ash on it with gum. Your volcano is more or less ready. Now for volcanic eruption pour some vinegar and soda water into the can. Give some red colour into it. You can watch red lava is coming out from your volcano.
